Caitlin has been acclimating to her new digs. It has taken mom and dad a little longer to adjust to her schedule. The little party animal is up unitl 3 a.m. and sleeps until 8 a.m. Sounds like dad's schedule while in graduate school, except I slept until 11.

'Baby Cake' as Cousin Kenzee calls her is growing, already over her birth weight, she was 8 lbs., 15 oz. at her one week check up this past Monday.

Baby McKenna is Here!

We are so proud to announce the birth of our daughter, Caitlin Colleen McKenna. She entered the world on Monday, August 6 at 4:30 p.m. at Methodist Hospital in Peoria. She is very healthy, weighed in at 8 pounds, 12 ounces and was 20 inches long. Molly is doing very well, especially considering she was in labor for just over 24 hours.

Thanks to everyone who has helped us over the past few days, especially to Molly's sister, Michelle who was just getting off from a 12-hour shift at the hospital, stayed overnight with us, delivered the baby, and is back at work today and is our nurse. We feel very fortunate to have so much love and support from our family and friends. It feels great knowing Caitlin will be surrounded by so many amazing people. We are excited to have another clan of kids growing up at the same time.

Mom and Baby are scheduled to arrive home on Wednesday afternoon.
